The attached comment was prepared by Peter Wahl from World Economy, Ecology and Development - WEED, Berlin for the Hearing of the Special Commission on Globalisation of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives Brussels July 13 2005.
It argues in favour of a currency transaction tax (CTT) and opposes the critical assessment of the Belgian CTT-law brought forward by the European Central Bank (ECB).
