New study on Tobin-Tax: "A Euro Solution"

A new study, entitled "A Euro Solution", prooves the immediate feasibility of a currency transaction tax in europe. The publication was written by "Intelligence Capital Ltd.", a financial consulting company that focusses on innovative ways of financing. Accordingly, this study primarily discusses the economic implications of the CTT.
The overall result of the study is that the CTT could be introduced immediately and unilaterally. Even a low tax rate of 0,05 per cent would generate an income of at least 3,5 billion Euro. Thus, the CTT could be an important source for the financing of development.
"A Euro Solution" is another proof for the feasibility of the Tobin-tax. There remaining barriers are of political nature.
Another study, published by Weed in December 2005 under the title "Ready for Implementation" comes to similar conclusion. It also discusses the legal aspects of a CTT. It is recommended as "further reading".
