The financial crash was not only an economic crisis but also pointed at the failure of the system of global governance. IMF, G8, EU - there was no international institution which predicted the crisis. It was the nation state, which was the "salvator of last resort." This brochure analyses the problems of global governance behind the background of the financial crisis. It discusses basic questions of democracy in the international system and describes the attempts towards re-regulation of the financial markets.
